Young Buck Going At 50 Again [Video]

Damn Young Buck is at it again. This time he’s doing a live acapella performance of his 50 Cent diss track ‘Taped Conversation’ at a club just last night. Seems he hasn’t learned his lesson. He can make all the diss tracks and come back tracks that he wants to but nothing will touch his recorded phone call. 50 did him real dirty and he should learn his lesson and move on making music because he’s got a talent for that. Dont try to be something you’re not and don’t try to go at someone who’s only going to burn you time after time. Im no 50 Cent fan but if it’s not clear by now that 50 knows what he’s doing then nothing is clear to you. Check out the video as Buck goes at him again at a small show.

Alfamega Speaks to Shawty Lo [Video]

So now it looks like we’ve got Alfamega and his YouTube videos getting in the middle of the Shawty Lo and TI beef. Who’s really from Bankhead? Alfamega says he knows that TI really is from BankHead. Im pretty sure none of this matters and Alfa says he’s not doing this for publicity, but it sure seems like he is. I guess they’re hyping Alfa up for big things and he can’t help but get in and back up his man. So check out the video that popped up on the net today and tell me what you really think about it.

Mixtape Monday - Young Jeezy ‘Prime Minister’

It’s time to get this Mixtape Monday news out there because MTV featured Young Jeezy talking about his latest mixtape ‘Prime Minister’ today on Mixtape Monday. Are you feeling this mixtape and have you been playing it for a minute or are you just finding out about it? If you haven’t got it and you’re a Jeezy fan or just want to know what he’s all about then check it out now. Jeezy says he is the mixtape game and on this video he speaks about the mixtape and the tracks on it. Not always a Jeezy fan I’ll admit that Im feeling some of the tracks on this mixtape, it’s all original new shit except for one track. Thats what I like to see, real effort put into mixtapes and real new shit to keep the streets on fire. So much love to Jeezy for doing that for the real fans.

Can Hip Hop Elevate Above Race?

You know with this round of hacking on SOHH and the response from Felicia Palmer we once again have the issue of race thrown into the mix. Im into hip hop and Im white, not that it matters but I am so I’ll throw that out there because I know for many of you it will slant what I say. But for many of you you’ll understand where Im coming from regardless of race.

Hip hop is huge these days, it’s everywhere now. It’s in commericals, even old hip hop slang is being used by people on Fox News or in the most un hip hop like places you can imagine. Kids are buying it, singles are blowing up and it’s more popular than ever. It’s more diverse than ever as well, maybe more diverse than most other genre’s of music at this point. Have many of us forgot what it’s about. I think the people at SOHH forgot what it was about. I learned that in my year of running their SOHH Dirty blog. I see alot of other places forgot what it was about as well. It’s now rumors, gossip, beef, cars, clothes and hoes. But hip hop was really about reality at it’s core. Hip hop wasnt black or white, it was the voice of reality straight from the streets like we had never heard it before. Hip hop spoke to you in a way that you could understand and it brought us closer regardless of race.

So with that said thats why I hate to see race constantly injected into everything. We all know it’s there and we all know it’s a difference, but its only one of many. We’re all different in so many ways short but so much time is given to this one small difference. As I’ve grown I’ve decided that I dont give a shit about changing the haters, let them hate. If they dont like you for color, clothes, or anything else fuck them and move on. Lets let hip hop do what it does and speak to those of that are listening and can change and can make a difference. In fact the more we talk about race the further we get from coming together. Lets talk about real shit like economics and opportunity, for those of us that have and those who dont. Lets talk about the shit that really matters instead of trying to change the minds of those who dont matter.

My hip hop elevates the game, it doesnt further the stereotypes or seperate. Fuck a hater, fuck a racist, fuck all of those people who stand in the way of that. Felicia Palmer could have better spoke about hacking, but she’s blinded by the seperation and the slight differences. When she said this

It appears that hackers are specifically targeting Black, Hispanic, Asian and Jewish youth who ascribe to hip hop culture.

She lost the way and the path of real hip hop and what its really about. Are there not White kids on SOHH non stop? Since when were they going out of their way to embrace Jewish people on SOHH any more than anyone else. She threw out the keywords to continue the bullshit rather than bring it together. You got targeted maybe because you were SOHH full of yourselves. Thats not real hip hop. She might as well have said some George Bush bullshit like they hate us for our freedom, its the same thing. Now show me that you’re real hip hop and you can feel me, or show me that you’re part of the bullshit and tell me I dont understand because Im white.

Three 6 Mafia Q&A [Video]

You know it seems like with all the Young Buck and SOHH bullshit that Three 6 Mafia got skipped over this past week. Well just to remind you the boys from Memphis dropped a new release into stores this week and I’ve been listening to it for a minute now. I’ve got a review coming up soon but I’ll tell you it’s worth getting a copy of already. I caught a peek at this video from Billboard where the guys sat down for a little Q&A (thats question and answer) about their new release and what they’ve been up to. Check out the video and get out there and grab that new release ‘Last 2 Walk’ right now!

TMI Boyz Still Moving Up

I told you recently that the TMI Boyz were starting to make noise on Billboard with their album ‘Grindin For A Purpose’ and that progess has continued since I mentioned it. They’re steady moving still and have moved up to the 4 spot on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums. I know there are going to be haters, but these guys are doing this independent. So I want to send another shout out to the Boyz because they are TrillSouth approved and a shout out to Wendy Day. I know you better drop me an email when you read this and we can talk a little about your guys and the industry as well.

So if you havent gone out to grab your copy yet and you’re from the south, or you’re from Texas, then get out and support these boys because this is bigger than just buying an album. Support the independent grind and get these labels out of their monopoly of power on hip hop and get it back in your hands and our hands.

I think you might like this one as well, it’s titled ‘Hustler’ and is brand new. Check it out and let us know what you think.

SOHH Ceo Felicia Palmer’s Statement

Here is the official statement from Felicia Palmer and I’ll translate it and tell you what it really means.

As many of you are already aware, SOHH.com has been under attack by hackers this week. We noticed the first wave of attacks in our vBulletins forums and as of this morning the whole site was compromised.
It appears that hackers are specifically targeting Black, Hispanic, Asian and Jewish youth who ascribe to hip hop culture. Other websites, including AllHipHop and Da Piff forums, have also been compromised or threatened this week.

We are managing this situation on several fronts. We have taken down the server to patch the security breach and put in protections for future attacks. Also, as this is an international issue, it is being addressed by The FBI and the Strategic Alliance Cyber Crime Working Group.

We realize the hackers attacked SOHH.com because of our stature in the hip hop space and the people we serve. Unfortunately, we did a poor job of protecting SOHH.com from imminent threats from people who hate our community simply because of our racial and ethnic makeup.

This has brought to light our vulnerabilities and those of the internet publisher and users as a whole. What’s possible now is for us to join together to identify and eliminate this threat.
If you are under attack and have any information about these attacks please submit a report to the FBI cyber crimes unit here: https://complaint.ic3.gov/

Alright lets break this down. SOHH was not targeted because the people who go there were black. I can’t say that 100% but anyone with a clue knows that. These guys target anyone who taunts them and if the SOHH users had been any other race that would have been used against them. It didnt matter what they were. They likely got targeted because like thousands of other internet forums they’re full of E-Thugs who talk tough on the computer. I dont advocate any of this, Im just telling you the truth.

Felicia says they did a poor job of protecting SOHH. Well the site is still down today so that means this is much worse than they’re saying. I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt have a backup of their database and they’re in real trouble trying to get almost anything back up and running. It can happen to anyone on the net, but its hilarious to watch half of this hip hop community run around claiming this is racism and that all of hip hop is being targeted. SOHH sorry.

TI ‘No Matter What’ [Video]

You’ve already been playing that TI song ‘No Matter What’ and now it’s time to get the video in your rotation. He’s got a lot to say since his arrest. His sentence or deal is questionable but his popularity in the south isn’t. The fans love TI and whether you’re a fan or not you’ve been paying a little attention to his situation, whether it’s the arrest, house arrest, or the beef with Shawty Lo. This video addresses a few situations without having to speak on them directly. Check it out the brand new TI video and comment back! It’s TrillSouth the real source for the true and real south!
