It’s good to see another one of the ladies from the south getting ready to make a little power move. Surreal is a grinder and if you cant tell from this video and track then you’ll never know. Even the beat in the back with Pimp C speaks volumes. She’s making her video debut right here and I like what I see and what I hear. SwishaHouse is still trying to do the damn thing in Texas.
Now this is some real shit right here from Big Boi and he’s got the queen of soul or r&b, Mary J Blige. I can listen to this shit because Mary J always goes off and Big Boi is talking about some real shit. This is off his upcoming LP ‘ir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.’ I think we’ve got a hit right here, tell me how you feel about this track and the video. The only thing Im not feeling is the Barack Obama bullshit. Sure he’s about to make history but he’s still a politician and when he doesnt save the world what will people think?
It’s the first single off what is possibly the last UGK album ever. It’s brand new on the net and fresh in the streets right now, Im talking about ‘Hard As Hell’ featuring Akon. It’s always good to hear new UGK shit and Im not sure what to expect from this near final release. Almost anything Pimp C spits is classic to me and this track has a little of that but I sure dont like the sound of the whole thing with Akon. It’s just not UGK to me, Im just too old school still. I need some of that old style Texas shit, it’s crazy. But you be the judge of this track. It’s UGK and it’s TrillSouth together again!
You know I’ll tell you after listening to this track a few times I dont like it all. That disappoints me like crazy to think that there would be new UGK and I just can’t feel it. Am I the only one that feels that way about this track?
Well we all know that Ludacris knew what he was doing when he made this track and it’s heating up quickly. After appearing on the DJ Drama ‘The Preview’ mixtape at the beginning of the week, its now all over the news. Whether it’s the Huffington Post, MSNBC, Fox News or O’Reilly himself and now Barack Obama weighing in on it, you’re going to hear alot about this track this week and weekend.
So I thought I’d post it up since everyone else is quoting and you can hear it for yourself. I’ll even post the quote released from the Obama camp today denouncing the song from Ludacris. Luda was expecting this Im sure and it just gives him some much needed publicity for his upcoming album. The mixtape itself is fire and this isnt even one of the good tracks off of it. So check out the track and the statement and get your opinion on!
As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” campaign spokesman Bill Burton said in an e-mail statement. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Sen. Clinton, Rev. Jackson, Sen. McCain and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.
Now usually when Chamillionaire calls something a freestyle it is. But Im not sure about this one, either way it’s a good track though. Cham is going off the hook and beating up the beat to Shawty Lo’s ‘Foolish ‘ for several minutes and it’s brand new. So get ready because that new mixtape messiah is coming soon and Cham is grinding harder than ever it sounds like. So tell me how you feel about this new track and if youre looking forward to new music from Chamillionaire!
You cant tell me you didnt already download this shit when it came out at the beginning of the week! I know there are plenty of Luda fans reading TrillSouth and Im sorry to say that Im not one of them but this is better than average Luda.
This is back to the future Luda with a little funk and a lot of lyrical music. I posted up that ‘Still Spittin’ track and it’s on here right at #2 and I know you’ll love that shit if nothing else. So cop the mixtape and get ready for a hot fall release from Ludacris into your local stores and iTunes! Gangsta Grillz!
Those other so called hip hop sites still arent up on this shit yet, but you are!
That man Jeezy is going hard this summer to get the word out on some issues and of course on his upcoming LP ‘The Recession.’ Check out this track thats just breaking on the net, it’s a remix of the track thats already a summer hit. It’s the ‘Put On’ remix featuring Jay Z on the track and you can guess that maybe a little mention was made of Prodigy. Rap beef is everywhere now and its mostly fake, but you can decide if this one is real or not.
So I peeped this little video where the man from Power 98.3 says he’s going to get into everything with Rick Ross. That means he’s getting into the CO shit and you get to hear what Ross has to say. He spends all his time hyping it, but do you think he really addressed it with Ross? The audio is a little low at moments but you can hear most of whats said. This guy even asks him about the engagement discussions. So tell me what you think, is Ross facing this head on or just deflecting? Like I said its not the crime its the coverup that gets you.
Whats good people I’ve got some of that good shit from Oklahoma and my homeboy Chop Chop AKA Chop Balboa. Im talking about a new track titled ‘Strut’ featuring Lil Boosie. You already know that shit is banging if Boosie got on the track. Chop sent this to me a minute back and I finally got around to getting it up. Shout out to Chop and my people at the Presidential Trap House, they’re doing it bigger and bigger all the time and 08 is looking good, but 09 is going to shine! So enough of my bullshit lets get on to listening to the track and share your comments with us people!
You know with all the bullshit going around lately Im beginning to wonder what people really think. Is your favorite rapper your favorite because he has a criminal past or because he raps the best? Do you like his songs because he sold drugs or because they sound good? Everyone is so caught up in the hype that they forget that their favorite rapper is an entertainer, a character and not real. How many of them are even using their real names?
Its just another vicious circle because you buy into the bullshit, so they feel they have to keep selling it. Who really is real, who really is trill, who never did some dirt and who never was a decent person or went to college at least for a minute in their life?
So when your favorite rapper gets busted for not being a dopeboy thug, ask yourself is that the real reason you liked his music anyway? If it was then weren’t you just furthering the bullshit that you’re upset about biting you and him in the ass?
