Stupid Fresh Society and the Good People of H.U.G.E. proudly present: Da New Kid – Target Practice.

Da New Kid is fresh artist representing Austin, Tx, but not only is he an artist, he also produces as well. I love an artist that can do more than just one thing, it’s almost a requirement in the music biz right now.

His mixtape features producers other than himself such as Nitti, DSF, Heat Roc, NV, June Boi Jenius, and Q. Smith; a nice variety of tracks for the summer. His mixtape isn’t all original music though, he also threw in some flows over some mainstream beats as well.

All in all, a pretty solid mixtape from Da New Kid and I hope to hear more from him in the future!

D-Town’s own B. Hardy dropped his highly anticipated Throwaway Rhymes 7: I Am Rap Bot 5000 today and TrillSouth.com was fortunate to get the exclusive!

On first look, the title seems kind of odd, “I Am Rap Bot 5000?” According to B. Hardy, the title came from Phantom P’s description of his creative process: “when I decided to stop writing, he kept referring to me as a rapping bot because I would smoke, pace, and then record; every time, the same way. I just gave it a name,” says B. Hardy.

Throwaway Rhymes 7 is hosted by DJ’s ASAP & Shad and features 23 tracks of straight freestyles and good music. There are a few tracks on the mixtape that real B. Hardy fans & followers will recognize from previous mixtapes like “Shutuup,” “Broke Dem Boys Off,” “Like It Like That,” and “WTFRU.” Other than these tracks and the leaked “#GroceryBag” freestyle, listeners are in for a treat with new freestyles over some hot industry beats.
