Whats up it’s been a minute now but I finally got it done. Just a few quick questions that I shot at Young Bleed right before his album dropped. So the album is now out, actually hit your locals stores last week on the 11th and I copped my copy that night and have been listening steady since then.
With all that said the album definitely delivers if you’ve been a Young Bleed fan since back in the day or are just hearing him for the first time you’ll be pleased. The album features a lot of hot collabos, including ones with 8 Ball, C-Bo, Money Waters and plenty more. Old school and new school combine on this one and you dont even have to skip around, you can listen straight through from begining to end.
So here are the quick questions I shot at Young Bleed, check them out and post some comments and let me know if you’ve already heard the album or if you’re going to pick it up. Read it and then check out Once Upon A Time In Amedica at your local store or iTunes!
TrillSouth: So you’ve been in the rap game for a minute now, how do you feel your
music has grown or changed along with your personal growth and change?
Young Bleed: My music has grown for the better. It’s like aged wine, it gets better with time.
TrillSouth: Do you see big changes in the music business, from the internet, to
indie labels vs big labels and the ability to put out your own music
at a bigger audience without big label backing?
Young Bleed: It’s possible
TrillSouth: Have you got to work with any of the artists that influenced you when
coming up or is there someone specific you’d like to work with?
Young Bleed: Yes! I have or currently worked with C-BO, Celli Cel, 8ball and MJG, Suga Free, Spice 1, Big Mike, Six Deuce, West Coast Mafia and Hindu Mafia Family and more.
TrillSouth: What is the meaning of the title ‘Once Upon a Time In Amedica’ or is
there any real significance behind it?
Young Bleed: It’s the story of my re-rise in this day and time in America.
TrillSouth: What can we expect from the album release that we might
not already know?
Young Bleed: Brand New music with a star studded bunch. I got some old school and new school on this album.
TrillSouth: Here’s an off the wall question that’s always interesting. What CD do
you have in your collection or on your iPod that no one might expect
you to have and listen to?
Young Bleed: Robert Johnson, Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Marley, The new C-BO” West Side Ryders III” and The not yet released C-BO “Ready for the World” coming out on Cashville Records!
I know they’re short answers, but it’s to the point and Bleed is a busy man who doesn’t bullshit around. Now get out and cop that album and bang it in your slab for the fall!
