You know I wouldnt be the one to gossip and speculate over rumors about artists so I went straight to the source and got a copy of the real Pimp C Interview straight from my girl Julia over at Ozone Magazine.
You already know Pimp C has never been a man to play word games or duck and hide an issue. He’s straight up and real when it comes to beef, his opinions of other artists, the rap game, the industry, record labels and life. So why would anyone expect anything less of him when asked directly to speak on some things. This is man who’s humble with the fans and straight up real, but he doesnt have a reason to hold back when speaking on the other things I’ve mentioned.

And if you ask me he’s calling it straight game. Truth is most of these rappers are fake and talking big and faking beefs to sell records. They’re controlled by the game, not controlling the game. Pimp C has always spoke real if you’ve ever heard him speaking. When I met up with him in Tyler he did the same. During his show he stopped and talked straight to the crowd about real business for 20 minutes in the middle of his set. So chances are if you dont feel what he’s saying then you’re one of those fakes he’s calling out.
Update: This one is catching fire so we’ve added the followup interview done by a local ATL radio station with Pimp C to address the firestorm thats been started with this interview before it hardly even hit the streets!

Pimp C is speaking the reality of what alot of people are afraid to say. Some of what he said was off the wall, but the meat of his message was clearly conveyed. He’s saying Rappers today don’t have any substance to what they are putting on CD’s. Some of it is not valid and it just sounds good, and rhymed real good with the previous sentence. Most rappers are just putting words together, like “underwear” and “hundred squares”. It sounds good and it rhymes, so just put anything you can think of between the words to make it sound good. Most people who talk about what they are doing ain’t doing it. Most rappers who talk about what they will do ain’t gonna do nothing, because they just said it. what i mean is – if you tru and you real, then you don’t talk you just act. All of the big chooper talk and gun bustin and ain’t no rapper dead, but Pac and Biggie. Ain’t no more Pacs. Oh yeah, and it ain’t no Heaven for a G if yall were wondering…..

Clean House! Im from Memphis in our music has been used everywhere in the South but alot of times we dont get credit. But in ATL defense they did give us more exposure just as Tx, fla, and La as far as using our music. Since Pimp C said GA is on the east coast does that mean the Carolinas aint the south. For me the south is from nc, tn,and ark on down. Not va, ky, or oklahoma. You can say what you want ATL is the south.

The truth of the matter is Hip Hop is dead. All the funny soundin East Coast rappers need to go head on and lay down. I don’t care who you are. If you’re still taggin walls, wearin a back pack, wearin a thick sweat suit in the summer pack your stuff up and move to London where you’re really needed. The time has come for real rappers to step up like real men to say and do whats right. New York is like a mean big brother; they used to pick on the west when NWA blew up. They made videos against gangsta rap and dissed the hell out of them. Easy E said he looked up to Run DMC. They wore all black just like he did only he didn’t have the expensive gold chains or adidas; he just had his Raiders jacket and hat and some chuck taylors. They were black like him so he supported them and emulated them (by creating NWA). When the west blew up the east was mad than a bitch. Nobody could keep Pac, Cube or Dre from out selling them time and time again in their own city. Now the south has blown out of proportion and the west is hatin on the south for the same reason the east hated the west. The west, instead of being the protective middle brother, is drinking the same hater-aid the east had for them. Sounds like crabs in a barrell. The south has been out since 8Ball & MJG, Scarface and the Ghetto Boys and UGK. Chitterlings (KY’s or Chitlin’s) take a long time to clean and cook, but once they’re out on the table EVERYONE’s gonna eat ‘em up. Everybody who wants to be hip hop gone and lay on down w/ hip hop. Let me say first of all, i also went to high scool and college in houston. I remember the first tape put out by UGK. “Tell Me Something Good” was the joint. I have to admit that when they came out Pimp C didn’t even really rap about pimpin’. That’s something that as time and money came in to the picture, he tried to live up to. When he got with Rap-A-Lot, he seemed to feel good reppin’ that and he really been talkin’ alot of sh*t these days. Pimp C has always been one of my favorite. But alot of what he saying really don’t make sense. The south really consists of the original confederacy and if my memory serves me correctly I don’t believe Texas was apart of that (Correct me if I’m wrong). Additionally, he stuck on this time zone shit… um I do believe Texas is in the Central time zone. So that kinda makes them the MidWest. I didn’t know there was a “Southern” Time Zone. I think Pimp C just still had some deep seated animosity about not gettin credit as one of the original southen rap legends. Which I totally understand. But don’t hate on what somebody else doin’ just cause people ain’t checkin for you. I think everybody was call Bun B cause they know out both of them he is the most rational and logical, while Pimp C let his emotions get carried away sometime. All being said and done he really was speaking some real shit well partially.

RIP Pimp C. One of the few true rappers that we had. He was one of our greatest leaders and now hes gone because they knew how much of a great influence and insperation he would be to us the people. It seems like people still didn’t get the picture of exactly what he was trying to say. There is a bigger picture here than just gays faggets and lesbos. He said that people are letting the game rule them for a strong reason. All these rappers are being bought out with money. They do rap and sing what they are told. That is how they get paid.
