Yeah it finally happened Lil Wayne has reached the #1 spot for the first time on Billboard Hot 100 with the ‘Lollipop’ track. I dont know about you but I cant hear that track it’s just horrible. But the fans are loving Lil Wayne these days and it’s showing with 183,000 downloads tracked. So tell me what’s your reaction when you hear this track on the radio or tv?
The news is just coming across but it’s not looking good for your boy Baby D out of the ATL. He’s currently locked up in Ohio on some serious federal charges. Who knows what it might lead to but I’ve got the press release text right here for you, so discuss!
(April 23, 2008) – New York, NY – KOCH Records/Big Oomp Records recording artist Baby D is being held without bond in Ohio on federal charges for allegedly trafficking cocaine. Baby D vehemently disputes these allegations. He is being held in the Butler County Jail which also houses people held on federal charges). Baby D was arrested in Dayton, Ohio on March 26, 2008 and continues to be held without bail. He also has three pending assault charges in Tennessee where he has a bond set. A warrant for his arrest in Georgia was recently dismissed.
Im sure you all know the lyrics to this track by heart at this point. It seems like it’s been around since last summer and finally a video has surfaced. Im talking about the ‘Haterz Everywhere’ video featuring Rich Boy. The video is alright but the track has always been good. There definitely are haters everywhere I go. I know first thought is damn why Sean Kingston on the track. What kind of street cred does that add to a track titled ‘Thats Gangsta’ you know. Well Bun has always been a big picture kind of guy and he’s all about selling albums and reaching the masses of the fans, not just the streets. Pimp was that street cat that didnt want to work with anyone and everyone. So there’s definitely a difference but Bun B does quality none the less. So check out the video and enjoy!
I know people are talking about it but do you really care about the fake beef between Buck and 50? Are you just like cattle being led to the slaughter. Do you not see how these fake beefs are always timed near upcoming album releases. It’s really all about boosting sales, because we know that people who are really going to do shit dont talk about it, they just do it.
So if you have to get on a microphone to handle your beef then it cant be that serious. So I caught up with my partner SparkDawg last night and talked to him a little bit about a track that Im sharing with you today. My man is starting to make some power moves and the 08 is looking better than ever. Im talking about the SwishaHouse remix of ‘Pour It On Da Models’ if you haven’t already heard it.
I happened to hear the original a couple months ago when I was on stage with Spark at the 08 SEA awards and I’ve been listening to it since then. Well it just got better with an official SwishaHouse remix version. This is a perfect club track, and the ladies know they love to be talked to dirty like this. So play the track and get out in the club and pour some of the models yourself this weekend!
Thats right shit is about to go down because Boosie just dropped a mixtape onto us and the shit is hot. If you love that down south gutter Boosie shit from the boot then you’re going to eat this up like gumbo or some boiled crawfish. I know my Louisiana people know what Im talking about. Boosie is always steady on the grind if you know the man. He’s hitting small clubs all the across the south and doing it for a fair amount of stacks. So if you see him holding it then you know its most likely real.

Are you political? Do you like it when a rapper gets political with a track? I mean I like stuff like Dead Prez, but how about just a simple remix that doesnt really add anything to a track. Well thats what it looks like we’ve got with this Yung Ralph ‘I Work Hard’ Obama remix. It’s clear he’s supporting Obama but what does it add to the track, or is it really just a little marketing technique to get a few more plays out of a bigger crowd?
I have to think it’s all marketing and the track is not that good. You add in some little clips of Obama speaking here and there and then call it a remix. I dont know about that and I dont always speak up so much but this remix is horrible. But you can be the judge on this one, so check it out and comment back.
