So I emailed JB to see if she had anything to say about the Ozone Awards and all the hate that seems to be focused on her without reason. She always gets back to me pretty quick and so I’ll present you with her official response and you can take it from there and discuss. Here’s the quote from her response.

So the Ozone Awards have come and gone. I was damn near in attendance but decided to pull out less than a week before the event. It seems like as usual in this industry there is an overwhelming amount of attention paid to beef, rumors, gossip and fights. It also seems that the Ozone Awards weren’t short on any of that this year and thats a same. However I cant help but wonder if it’s just over exaggerated or was it really that bad. On top of that why is there so much hate for Julia Beverly, is it because she’s white? Do you have an opinon because I see the stories and emails starting to mount on the hip hop sites. I even received a letter to my email this morning to be passed around sharing some of the outrage at Julia. I’ll post it later today and let you decide what you think of it.

I’ll tell you I’ve only met JB once and it wasnt at an event. She was friendly and she’s always been fast to get back to me in emails. I like what Ozone has done and I’ve been well aware of her for several years through another hip hop site that was central to Houston. I cant help but wonder if this isnt a little extra hate just at her being white and I know thats not hip hop. JB get at me if you’ve got something to say because at this moment Im feeling like Im on your side. It’s quite possible this event was bigger than even they were ready for and it just got out of hand because unlike Florida or some other state, Texas really is what southern hip hop is all about. We arent all about that snappin, popping and booty bouncing, we stay trill down here and you best keep it real when you’re down here!

I dont know what to tell you since Ive never met Mike Jones. But Trae spoke the truth and was one of the realest I ever met in this biz when we met. I got some video of him up on YouTube and he puts on a show worth all the money you might pay and then some. So back to the situation this is Trae speaking on what he says happened between him and Mike Jones. Either way the facts are Trae hit Mike Jones and Jones was bleeding. Thats all we know for sure, everything else you can figure out for yourself. Im sure this is only the beginning of this beef.

So the YouTube video surfaces today and it doesnt show the actual punch, just mostly the aftermath. You can see Jones holding onto a towel with a little blood on it upset and saying he’s been hit from the back. Who know’s what really happened, but there’s also video of Trae out there now explaining his side of the story so it will be coming up today as well.

Alright so I already posted it up and let you know that there was a bit of an altercation backstage at the Ozone Awards between Trae and Mike Jones. Well it didnt take long for Mike to get on the radio and air it out and tell people his side of the story as well as how he plans to handle it. Sounds like this one isnt over yet if you ask me. Check out this hot audio from Monday night when Mike Jones called 102 Jamz after getting off stage from performing at the Ozone Awards in Houston.

So another report has leaked tonight and this one invovles two of the bigger names in Houston. Trae the Truth and Mike Jones. The story is of the two backstage at the Ozone Awards Monday night having a conversation that took a sudden turn to violence as Trae was allegedly seen punching Mike Jones in the face. It’s not know why, but it appears that this is a legit story as of this moment. You know I dont like to get into the rumors and this one appears to be real but it’s also a lead up to something I want to talk about later today.

This wasn’t the only incident at this years Ozone weekend in Houston. It appears there were multiple innocents from Lil Boosie’s possible involvement in a club fight, to a member of Rick Ross’ entourage roughing up DJ Vlad, and now this report of Trae and Mike Jones. Stay tuned for more real news and hopefully facts, no gossip bullshit to bring the industry down.

It could be coming according to T Pain via MTV’s Mixtape Monday. Check out this quote and tell me what you think about this possibility.

Much like Weezy now Soulja Boy is blogging via YouTube. Of course SouljaBoy has been onto YouTube for more than a minute now. But this represents the first time he’s sitting down and calling it his blog. He’s just talking about what he’s doing, what’s going on and whats coming up as he sits in a spot in Memphis before performing that night. So what do you think of rappers blogging?

So I got a little email this morning about a fight that went down at the TJ’s DJ’s Afterparty last night in Houston at Club Gio. My first thought was alright big deal but the email implies the involvement of Boosie and claims to offer pics. My next thought was, who the fuck takes pictures in a club when a fight breaks out other than assholes and groupies. I’ll tell you I’ve been at some events and fights went down and I’ve been there with my camera and video camera and never once did I think Im going to take this out and take some pics or film the fight.

So no I wont post the pics here. Yes Boosie is in them but it’s not real clear what his involvement was or if it just happened near where he was at. He could have been caught up in the middle by a hater, or he could have been pulling a friend out of it, who knows. But what I do know is when shit goes down you dont pull out a camera and try to turn the people you’re there supporting into a news story. Thats not keeping it trill. Too bad I wasnt there to see whats really good. My media passes were approved but Im not much on sitting on a red carpet asking bullshit questions that everyone else has already asked.

How about a track and video with a little bit of substance to it. Im talking about Pitbull’s new video ‘American War’ thats shown up this week on the net. Im not sure I like the song but at least he’s talking about something serious. Do you like when rappers get political?
