Come on now lets start this little movement right here. Im looking for a Pimp C reality show on VH1. This weekend while watching tv I notice two more reality shows that will debut this October. We’re now about to have the Salt N Pepa reality show and Irv Gotti and a reality show of him and his family. So Im saying where is the Pimp C reality show. There isnt a better show out there right now. So Im saying today, get with me and lets start the movement get Pimp C a reality show on VH1 real soon, ya heard me!!

I found out the other day about an event going down in Houston this weekend that Im sure you screw fans will want to check out. According to the website it’s definitely going down real big. Im talking about DJ Screwfest a celebration of the man screw and all he contributed to the Houston rap game and the rap game as a whole. With artists like Pimp C, Slim Thug and some of the old school SUC I think you better check this out if you’re near the area. Damn the music business aint what it used to be, aint what it used to be! Chamillionaire made the top 10 of the Billboard 200 but I think a lot of us were expecting a little higher position and definitely more sales. His #8 spot on the chart was taken with only 79,000 units scanned. I was expecting at least 150,000 so I dont know if 79,000 is a disappointment or not. Kayne and 50 both fell off pretty fast with declines of over 70% in sales for both and theres still some country music in the top 10 believe it or not.

Is Chamillionaire not as popular as we all were starting to think he was about to be? Personally his choice of Bill Collecta as a second single is not the one I would have hoped for. To push sales it’s about releasing club type tracks or ringtone rap music and he’s not big on either one. But releasing the second single paired with someone bigger named like Lil Wayne or someone might have shot his sales up a bit, but the game isnt over yet, it’s only week 1. Bottom line across the board sales are down in the music industry and they’ll try to tell you its the internet filesharing and bootlegging that are the reason, but don’t believe the hype. It’s poor quality music and artists that are killing off the sales.

If you’re like the rest of us dedicated southern rap fans who have been around for a minute you too have been wondering where is that new Lil Keke release. Well I dont have any news on that for you, and thats because I cant get any news out of Swishahouse. However all hope isnt lost because I’ve noticed a new little SwishaHouse video that showed up with Lil Keke freestyling and probably promoting a mixtape. It’s the best we’ve got for the moment and the latest video and music from Keke, so we’ll have to enjoy it while we can.

I’ll stay on top of things and keep trying to find out more about the multiple pushbacks on Keke’s album and see whats really going on. But in the meantime enjoy the video. Looks like they had a little editing error and the video repeats itself, so its really only just about 2 and a half minutes, not nearly 5.

Yeah it’s time for more Pimp C. He’s working with his protege XVII and has dropped a little track onto an upcoming release thats made it’s way to the internet. It’s called True Story and I dont have to explain it to you, just listen. I think you’re going to like what you hear and his protege definitely has some real potential. I got my hands on it already and If you can find it in stores this week or next then you might want to cop that sh!t! Remember you can share or post the track on your site with the embed, just click the little brackets between the volume and site logo and it will copy the embed code to your clipboard so you can paste it.

That’s right the UTP Playas are back and they’re moving on and up without Juve. The latest release is on Rap A Lot and I admit it was hard for me to find a copy at first so I wasnt even sure it really came out. But after a little searching I got ahold of a copy and started listening so you can expect a review in the coming days. Let me say that Skip and Wacko have always been fun for me to listen to and Im happy to find a release by these two. While I said they are moving on without Juve, that doesnt mean there’s any beef. Just two seperate paths and Juve does appear on this release.

I dont know if you’ve heard their single yet, its track 12 on the album, titled Who’s Your Daddy and its got a little old school sound to it with that NOLA bounce beat. Check out the album its not on iTunes yet but it is available in some stores and stay tuned for a full review in the next few days!

It really seems like Kia Shine is trying to blow up big as of late. He’s got a new track called I Be Everywhere featuring Dipsets own Jim Jones. You’ll immediately recognize the voice and the track goes pretty hard but Im still not quite sure why I dont like it. Maybe because it’s about nothing and these days Im a little more into rap with a bit of a purpose and I just havent seen that from Kia Shine yet. I can’t hate him for getting money and doing his thing but without hearing more than 2 or 3 tracks from him I’ve yet to see substance.

It’s true this short little video clip shows none other than Lil Weezy saying the Hot Boys are back coming in 2008. Is it real or will it happen? It’s hard to say honestly, as you know alot of people have been coming together only to have disagreements break it up. Would we really like to see the Hot Boys back together? I think alot of fans definitely would. I personally dont care either way since Im hardly a fan of most of them, but it would definitely make the news and sell a ton of albums.

It’s happened again, Yung Joc has thrown up a little video illustrating his “hustlenomics” game. Yes this is the guy who made Coffee Shop and appears in a Danity Kane video. Bad Boy is doing anything it takes these days to sell a couple records, and when I say couple I mean it almost literally. Yung Joc’s album was a flop and so are most other things that Bad Boy does these days. So I present you the Yung Joc Hustlenomics Intro video and you can be judge of his gangsta for yourself!

It’s going down and I’ve got a new jam from Yung Texxus off the upcoming mixtape. You know Yung Texxus is doing his thing with the Desert Storm South Crew now. Yeah Im talking about DJ Clue and his southern imprint. They’re making noise and putting out mixtape heat like it’s going out of style. So anyway they got me this short track from an upcoming mixtape and I just knew after listening to it that I had to drop it on all of you. I like the track so it gets a personal endorsement from me, but that doesnt matter, its all about what you want to hear and like.
