Lil Boosie
It just went down in Baton Rouge and Lil Boosie copped a plea and ended up getting sentenced to 2 years jail time. This is a plea deal so appeal shit is not very likely and it usually means that the trial outlook was not good and he had some guilt. Either way just after releasing his ‘Superbad’ album this is not a good look or a good time to end up doing jail time. Stay tuned to TrillSouth for more news on this one.
In case you’re living in a cave and not paying attention that Lil Boosie ‘Superbad’ hit the stores just this week and Boosie is out everywhere trying to collect his money. This time ThisIs50 caught up with the boy from Baton Rouge to discuss the new release and a little of the southern lifestyle with him.
Boosie is on it right now and he met up with Boomtown to film several videos recently and they’ve been hitting the net this week. I’ve got another one for you a couple days late because I was feeling lazy. This time it’s got a feature from Lil Phat and done in black in white but you can still imagine the color.
You know Boosie is putting these videos and heat out right now in preparation for the dropping of his new album in just a couple weeks. This is the latest one to hit the internet for his ‘Back In the Days’ track. Stay tuned because I get the feeling this might be the biggest album release for Boosie yet and that means plenty more music and videos.
It looks like your boy Webbie is about to do some time. According to a local CBS news report your boy was arrested after a high speed police chase where he hit another car and injured its passengers, dumped his vehicle and got in another vehicle and was later found and arrested. The report states Webbie will be charged with one count of felony eluding, one count of driving under the influence (other), and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. There is also a pending charge for felony aggravated assault with a motor vehicle because of the car he hit. Sounds like he’s in for some real serious shit and who knows why he ran.
Was just the other day I was talking about ‘Jigga Juice’ and you know Im not a fan. Well today I’d like to present you with a little video of the behind the scenes at the ‘Jigga Juice’ video shoot. If this isnt enough to convince you how horrible this music is then what would it take? As I said before it’s not 100% the fault of the artist, blame it on the fan of this music and the record company and media that spread it around. They aren’t always just playing what the fans want, they in fact decide what the fans want to a large degree. So enjoy the video and post it up in the comments.
You know the beef already, Ice T vs Soulja Boy and Soulja Boy vs Ice T and so on. So Im asking this question today. Would Ice T say that Jigga Juice is part of whats destroying hip hop because this shit is definitely garbage. Is it really the fault of the artist? I’d have to say no, its the fault of plenty of other people and the artist is only part of it.
What about the record companies that have so much of the choice in what see the light of day? Or maybe the radio station megacorps like ClearChannel that decide what we get to hear to a certain degree. Even better how about the fans out there that buy it, play it, google it, request it and dance to it? So the artist is only part of the problem. Check out what Im talking about and tell me what you think. Here’s the ‘Jigga Juice’ video by Lil Josh & Ernest Ft. Diamond & Hurricane Chris who obviously has no shame in this game.
Thats right shit is about to go down because Boosie just dropped a mixtape onto us and the shit is hot. If you love that down south gutter Boosie shit from the boot then you’re going to eat this up like gumbo or some boiled crawfish. I know my Louisiana people know what Im talking about. Boosie is always steady on the grind if you know the man. He’s hitting small clubs all the across the south and doing it for a fair amount of stacks. So if you see him holding it then you know its most likely real.
Check out this brand new mixtape and download it and bump it in the ride for the next week because you know its going hard. Hell the mixtape starts off with some heat on the 2nd track ‘Fuck You.’ Get on it and hit the comments back.
