KOCH RECORDS AND WRECKSHOP RECORDS TO RELEASE BRAND NEW POSTHUMOUS ALBUM, UNFINISHED BUSINESS, FROM HOUSTON LEGEND BIG MOE ON MARCH 18TH, 2008

ALBUM FEATURES ALL BRAND NEW SONGS AND APPEARANCES BY LIL FLIP, MIKE D, BIG POKEY, A-3 AND MORE

(New York, NY) – KOCH Records and Wreckshop Records announce the release of a brand new album from Houston rap legend Big Moe. The album, titled Unfinished Business, will be released on March 18th , 2008. It is the first posthumous release of music by Big Moe and features all brand new songs.

The first single will be “Pint To the Head” feat. Lil Flip, A-3, and Click Clack.

Rapper and singer Big Moe is a legend in the Texas/Southern hip-hop scene. As a member of the infamous collective Screwed Up Click (named after the late great DJ Screw), Moe’s southern rap twang and melodic singing rhythms have made him staple in Southern rap music. His previous release, Purple World, scanned over 34,844 units its first week, charting at #2 on the Billboard Rap Chart and #3 on the Billboard R&B chart. He has sold over 400,000 units to date commercially. His tragic death last year was a major loss to the hip-hop community but his legend lives on in his first posthumous album, Unfinished Business.

Armed with all brand new unreleased tracks, and featuring Screwed Up Click members Lil’ Flip, Big Pokey, A-3, C-Note, and many others, this album is sure to be a collector’s item for hip-hop fans everywhere.

I know we’re all surprised to hear the news but Big Moe has passed away now. He passed away yesterday after battling in the hospital for several days. Our hearts go out to his family, though for those of us in the south who’ve been around for a while we were his family. The SUC was his family, Houston and Texas were his family and we’ll surely miss him, but we know he’ll have peace now. I wanted to throw a shout out to the homie and a throw up a little throwback video at the same time. Big MOE isnt dead but he had a serious thing happen and so all our best wishes for recovery and a long life go out to the man and his family. White cup full of Purple Stuff…..

Woke up early this morning…. phone kept ringin’…ringin’…..ringin’……

People callin me to find out if Big Moe of the Screwed Up Click had passed away…. heart jumped outta my chest……I called his phone….. his mother picked up…. man I just knew that she was gonna tell me some bad news….but she tells me that he hasn’t passed away….. he had a heart attack and was in the hospital though,….but she told me she is sure that he is still breathing…… (sigh of relief for a second)….. but then i started to think about his health and how a lot of people knew it was gettin bad…. remember the feeling after screw passed?……. now I know I might get hate for this…..I know Im running the risk of sounding “preachy”…….. but im starting to hate everything that “syrup”stands for….we been promotin it in our freestyles for a while and its an imbedded part of Texas culture….but I dont like the thought of it anymore……

Not because I been up since 5:30am talkin about it, …not because im hollywood and dont appreciate it……not because I dont like the color purple…..

Its because I got 2 homies in jail behind “drank” cases and im aware of the fact that it has been attached to the untimely deaths of some people. Maybe ill feel different after I get some more sleep…. but for now… thats what i gotta say about it… I hope Big Moe makes it through….. Too many Texas soldiers are not here any more …. because of stuff like this and other nonsense….
