Thats the truth of the story. You might see in a few places that Bun B’s followup album or second album ‘II Trill’ debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 this week but what they didnt tell you is it sold less copies than ‘Trill’ in it’s opening week. ‘Trill’ debuted at #6 just a few years ago with 118,000 in sales for it’s opening week. This week ‘II Trill’ debuting at #2 managed only 98,000 in sales. So while the headlines might say Bun scores a #2 spot they dont tell you his sales went down in the first week even though he’s better known and had a pop type single playing.
I know many of you have bought and supported this release, but can you tell me it’s better than ‘Trill’ was? Or are you just now getting on the bandwagon since the death of Pimp C? For me after listening to both releases there is really no comparison, ‘Trill’ is a far better piece than this latest release. I don’t need pop stars and multiple features to sell me, I need Bun doing what he did back when he was an Underground King. So there’s always a little more than a headline to every story, pay attention to this one.
So it finally happened, yesterday that brand new Bun B ‘II Trill’ finally dropped into stores. Did you cop it already and if you didnt, what are you waiting for? I know I was just on iTunes grabbing my copy this morning and listening through the previews and reading the reviews. It seems he’s popular with alot of men too and Im not quite sure why. But damn Bun B is about to blow things up this summer with the new album ‘II Trill’ dropping later this month. Shit is about to get serious in the south and this album will feature plenty of quality tracks and collabos.
Bun was always into doing music with a lot of artists and alot of styles. This album is sure to feature plenty of that and some true to Texas trill shit as well. Long live Pimp C! Peep the track!

I know first thought is damn why Sean Kingston on the track. What kind of street cred does that add to a track titled ‘Thats Gangsta’ you know. Well Bun has always been a big picture kind of guy and he’s all about selling albums and reaching the masses of the fans, not just the streets. Pimp was that street cat that didnt want to work with anyone and everyone. So there’s definitely a difference but Bun B does quality none the less. So check out the video and enjoy!

It’s Bun B returning to the stage with many of the Houston heavyweights and rap community at his back. It’s been a minute now and Bun B is back after a little grieving and grinding. This Friday he took the stage with the support of the Houston hip hop community and plenty of heavyweights in the game to celebrate Pimp C and continue the UGK legacy. So first a little clip that SOHH Gyant pointed out to me from a local Houston station where they spoke with Bun the day of the show and he spoke on a few things.
that was real shit that Bun had to say and later that night the show went down without a problem. Heavyweights in the house like J Prince, ESG, Mike Jones, Slim Thug, UGK Records, Pimp C’s mother, and too many others to name. I found this recent video on MTV News where Bun B is talking about life after Pimp C. He’s busy in the studio right now trying to put in work on his second solo release and Im sure it wont be without content remembering Pimp.
