Yeah the homie Dorrough is still working on it and trying to get to the top. This time it’s a little behind the scenes video from the ‘I Want’ video shoot which is said to be sort of like a hood Christmas anthem. You be the judge of how you feel about this one.
I know many people were haters and they’ve got their own reasons for that. I think a lot of people were expecting Dorrough to do about 20,000 units and my guess was 15,000. Well the numbers came in and he did just over 12,000 units, near 13,000 actually but the bigger news to me is that he cracked into the Billboard 200 something that recent DFW artists havent been getting done. He debuts at the #36 spot and now it’s time for the real work to start to see if he can go higher. The #36 spot is nothing to hate on especially for an independent release on E1 formerly known as Koch Records.
So I guess now we’ll see whether its up to the top 20 or down out of the top 50 in the coming week or two. I know the Prime Time boys are working harder than ever to move that number up. If you’ve picked up a copy of Dorrough Music feel free to let everyone know how you feel about it and what you expect to see. Congrats on the debut release.
Yeah buddy the day has come when you can roll like a big shot with your Dorrough Music in the player of your ride. Today Dallas own Dorrough Music dropped his album into the stores and online spots like iTunes and they did it at a legit price of $7.99. I was wondering what might happen as many releases are hyped and then not totally label supported and end up in your store at $12.99 or more and slow sales. Well I guess we’re going to find out if this is different for Dorrough. He had videos on BET and MTV2 as well as hot singles in the south especially TX of course but his support has reached even the west coast and east in spots. So let people know if you picked up the release and how it sounds. I support the homie, but I probably wont review it as Im not a fan of his type of music, thats just personal taste though.
I caught this video this morning where Dallas own Dorrough Music sits down with the crew at ThisIs50 to talk about what he’s been into. Of course you know the ‘Ice Cream Paint Job’ track that blew up this year and the album is dropping at the beginning of August. Dallas already knows about the homie but the rest of the country is still finding out. So check out this interview and a quick freestyle and stay tuned to get the album in a couple weeks.
Wow way too many features to name in the title on this one so Ill list them for you down here. This is the Dorrough Music ‘Ice Cream Paint Job’ official remix with Dorrough Music, JD, SouljaBoy, Jim Jones, Slim Thug, E-40 and Rich Boy all on the same track coming in at 6 minutes long. This is all in advance of the album dropping on August 4th so right now have a listen and download and stay tuned for more of that TrillSouth shit!
I got this track in my email recently and I know that people are into what Dorrough Music has been doing lately and Chalie Boy is on the verge of finally breaking out. So you got this ‘Rap Game Kick Door’ track that brings the two together and it is what it is I suppose.
It’s brand new music for the TrillSouth. That’s the real south and I got the heat to you as soon as it hits the net this time. It’s Da Block Boi a member of the Prime Time Click with Dorrough Music on the feature spot. The track is titled ‘Drop, Pop, Repeat’ and its more of a club type of track for the ladies to do exactly as the title says. So get a listen and speak up if you feel this one.
Alright that video for ‘Ice Cream Paint Job’ has finally dropped onto the world for everyone to see. Im talking about that D Town hit by Dorrough Music and the Prime Time Click. So what are you waiting for I wont do a lot of talking I’ll just let you watch. The video was shot just a couple weeks ago in Dallas in case you recognize the spots and features cameos from a lot of Dallas artists.
