Lil Wayne & T Pain Official Mixtape?

It could be coming according to T Pain via MTV’s Mixtape Monday. Check out this quote and tell me what you think about this possibility.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely we can discuss it, man,” Pain said. “I’ve been doing an album with Lil Wayne. It’s called T-Wayne: The Project. It’s basically just going to be an array of things, just a visual love. The two artists you’ve seen collaborate with everyone except each other. When you see us together, it’s crazy right now. We already have what we’ve done. We’re gonna keep going till they tell us to stop. We might even put out a mixtape. We’ve got so many songs that we just might do a T-Wayne mixtape too.”

Weezy Blog #3 [Video]

Shit is the dumbest motherfucker that you ever heard when he’s on camera like this? Oh well Im not even going to waste time on that subject. I’ve got the latest brand new YouTube blog from Lil Wayne AKA Weezy. It’s blog #3 from QD3 and it’s interesting to say the least. It’s a little talk about hard work and Wayne telling you that he works hard. Not much more I can say, peep the video.

Pay special attention to the last 40 seconds and tell me if you know who he’s talking to or about.

Lil Wayne ‘Got Money’ feat. T Pain [Video]

As I said yesterday when I put up the snippet, today is the day the Lil Wayne ‘Got Money’ video premiered on the networks and the internet. Maybe you like the song, maybe you like Lil Wayne, but do you like the video? The sign is hot in the clubs right now and on the radio, as is everything else Lil Wayne is a part of. Im not sure I get putting Hurricane Katrina into the video of a song that’s clearly got no substance, but what do I know anyway. Thats all Im saying, so you can watch the video and let everyone know what you think about it right here on TrillSouth!

Lil Wayne Sued For Rolling Stones Copyright Breach

So it looks like the hottest rapper on the planet has got one more problem on his plate. It’s coming to light a little bit lately that Wayne might be using some samples and beats that aren’t original, but aren’t credited properly as well. So here’s the latest news from Billboard about the rapper with a Milli, a Milli, a Million problems.

A music publishing company that owns the rights to the Rolling Stones’ song “Play With Fire” sued rapper Lil Wayne today (July 24), saying he released an altered version of the song without permission.

Abkco Music Inc accused Lil Wayne, his artistic collaborators and his record company, a unit of Universal Music Group, of copyright infringement and unfair competition.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in Manhattan seeks unspecified damages.

Lil Wayne’s “Playing with Fire” is a clear derivative of the Rolling Stones song with the original lyrics and music altered in a recognizable way, Abkco said in its lawsuit.

In one example, the lawsuit said a lyric from the Stones song is “But don’t play with me, ’cause you’re playing with fire,” and the Lil Wayne version has the line, “But you can’t blame me if I set this stage on fire.”

Representatives for Lil Wayne and Universal were not immediately available for comment.

Abkco also said that Lil Wayne’s version uses “explicit, sexist and offensive language” and could lead the public to believe the company and the Rolling Stones approved of and authorized the new version.

40 Glocc Confronting Lil Wayne. Real Or Really Fake? [Video]

So today I saw this video of what I noticed was 40 Glocc and he appears to or at least claims to be in the streets in LA confronting two vehicles supposedly carrying Lil Wayne and Baby. Is it real I’ll let you decide since you never see Wayne or Baby. The only thing you do see is a bodyguard get out of the truck for a moment. I did my research and if you look through some past Wayne concert footage the guy who steps out of the truck appears to be the same bodyguard thats with Wayne at many of his events, very recent events even. So is it real, I dont know. But either way it’s just another shot fired at Wayne for his repping Blood and wearing red. He’s not even shy about it and as far as anyone knows he never had a real affiliation, but some of these guys in LA do, and its with that Blue. So peep the video and tell me what you think. The bodyguard seems to match up, which means it’s quite possible that this is Wayne in one of the trucks, but its definitely not a for sure thing.

Lil Wayne ‘Real Rap’

Starting this Monday off with a brand new little mini track from Lil Wayne. You tell me if you like it or not because I already know that I dont. He continues to be lyricially well below what you would expect for the man who they say is the hottest rapper around. This shit sounds horrible to me but it’s undeniable that many Weezy fans will love it and keep asking for more. At least this time he’s attempting to speak about subjects slightly more serious even though he does it in a horrible way. Check out the new track or old one, who knows. Word is it might be some old verses on a new beat.

Hurricane Chris ft. Lil Wayne & Nicole Ray ‘Get Money’ Remix

Hurricane Chris is bringing it back with the ‘Get Money’ remix today. He’s got features from Lil Wayne and Nicole Ray. I’m not feeling the song and it’s just another example of the lyrical garbage that Lil Wayne is 3/4 of the time. Hurricane Chris has moments where he shines, especially when he’s not on that hand clap type of bullshit. Lyrically the kid can go pretty hard at moments and has some tracks that shine. This is a brand new remix, how are you feeling it?

Weezy Back At #1 Spot On Billboard 200

Yeah it was a relatively weak last week for releases and with that and sales drop Lil Wayne has come back to the top. His album ‘Carter III’ continues to sell at a hot pace with 156,000 units moved last week. These days where music sales are weak and singles are the major player, its impressive to see Wayne continue to sell at this pace. However you’ve got to wonder how long can it last. I think it’s easy to predict double platinum before the end of the summer, but will this release catch a little more heat with follow up singles and videos that Wayne has been working on? Is triple platinum a possibility before the end of the year?

QD3 Says Weezy Is This Generations Tupac!

Man when I first read that over on the SOHH.com blog I was like it’s got to be taken out of context, let me read this. But I’ll post the quote right here right now and you can tell me what you think of it, because Im about to tell you what I think.

Lil’ Wayne is hands down the Tupac of this generation in that he is a true artist, a world class writer/performer, and he’s not afraid to push the envelop on any level which makes him a true original.

Yes thats what he said and Im about to break it down for you. Im not a Tupac fan and Im not a Wayne fan either, but both men were artists. But really how can you even compare Wayne to Pac, or compare the two to each other on many levels other than they’re both rappers and both sold a lot of albums. But to say he’s the Tupac of this generation, well I cant say I hear Wayne offering much substance to the game. Maybe they both share that they get arrested a bit more than they should have, but Wayne doesnt have near the substance or lyrical talent that Pac had and never will. Im going to hold back for a minute but its just marketing hype. So please lets not start the comparison of Wayne to Pac, just be real and stop the nonsense.

Lil Wayne ‘Milli’ [Video]

The day has come once again, a new Lil Wayne video has been dropped on the world. It was tonight on BET 106 & Park, the world premiere of Wayne’s new ‘Milli’ video. Thats the song that has spawned what seems like a million remixes. So check out the video and let me know what you think? Is the concept hot, is the video corny, is Wayne really the biggest thing in hip hop? I know the video is probably going to be huge so grab your code and feel free to share it and pass it around.
