Damn it’s about time I got another album review up in this bitch and I’ve got a good one to be the first in a while. It’s the brand new off the underground and the streets of Mississippi and it’s presented by Pimp C and stamped with that UGK approval so you know it’s no joke.
I’m talking about an artist going by the name of XVII. For a minute now several songs have floated around the internet and most people had no idea where they were coming from. They featured Pimp C doing some serious talking about other rappers in the game and certain people who we don’t have to name. But there was another voice on these tracks and that you’ll now know was XVII. The latest in the UGK family and the protege of Pimp C, XVII has been on his grind for a minute now and this album is about to blow up in the south.
This album starts off with Pimp C doing a lot of talking and leads right into a hot track called Back 2 Da Streets and you already know what thats going to be about. Then it’s quickly followed by a track that you probably heard floating around the net called True Story. Yeah that’s the one where the rappers are addressed for their fake dope game numbers and stories. It’s called True Story because it’s filled with a true story, not the fake ones that the other industry rappers have been putting out and it’s one of the better tracks on the album. Read more
I know it seems like it’s been more than a minute but David Banner hasnt disappeared yet and there are no signs of him slowing down. I just got a little listen to this new track ‘Get Like Me’ featuring Chris Brown and I thought I’d drop it on my people and let you tell me what you think of it. Is it hot or is this going to flop, can you play in the ride, outside, at the club, with your love? I cant say that I like it myself and thats mainly because Im not a Chris Brown fan. Banner, Banner and more Banner is whats in store for you today as you read this latest blog entry. I’ve got 3 new hot tracks from Ozone Magazine and they’ve got David Banner’s newest and hottest stuff. We’ve even got the track that’s being called FREE T.I.P. That’s right Banner has already sounded off on TI’s arrest and he’s got a track called “B.A.N.(The Love Song)”! Then I’ve also got two other tracks with Banner featuring names like Chamillionaire and Jay Z. That’s some heavyweight type of shit right there and it’s all free for download.
This weekend it was announced that the upcoming and anticipated David Banner album The Greatest Story Ever Told was pushed back to November 20th. That’s also Black Friday, or the day everyone hits the malls hard after Thanksgiving and buys up all the stuff on sale. Anyway Banner’s album is pushed back just a short bit and should be worth the wait. It will only give him more time to get all over some other people and get all up in the media some more. Stay tuned for the album though it’s got featured guests like Chris Brown, Jim Jones, Lil’ Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Akon, Yung Joc and more!
Yeah it’s time for more Pimp C. He’s working with his protege XVII and has dropped a little track onto an upcoming release thats made it’s way to the internet. It’s called True Story and I dont have to explain it to you, just listen. I think you’re going to like what you hear and his protege definitely has some real potential. I got my hands on it already and If you can find it in stores this week or next then you might want to cop that sh!t! I know you’ve seen him making a lot of headlines lately with a lot of noise and heat thrown at alot of big names like Jesse Jackson, Oprah, Rev Sharpton and so on.
