Here’s a little pic of Play N Skillz arriving at the MTV & K104 block party that just went down at Big T Plaza in south Dallas.

Definitely an interesting event as the MTV camera was rolling and capturing what appeared to be a fast paced and unorganized show full of small live performances. Plenty of artists and people were on the block and best of all it was free for the fans.

It’s a brand new show and it’s on MTV tomorrow night. Im talking about Celebrity Rap Superstar and while it’s not exclusively a down south thing, you will see a southern artist Paul Wall appearing on the show. But it’s not about his rap or game, it’s all about celebrities competing to become the new rap superstar, or at least the winner of the tv show. Paul Wall is a mentor along with Tone Loc, Redman, Warren G, Too Short, Bubba Sparxxx, Bizarre and MC Lyte. There are several contests who lack rap skills and are going to give it their best shot at trying to rap each week and progress in the contest and get better.

They’ll be judged by a panel of industry heavy hitters and you. Check out the website, Im going to watch the show and see if it’s not at least funny and entertaining. So check it out and comment back to let everyone know what you thought or think of it.

So MTV has this thing they call The Leak and they regularly let out a little leak of what is going to be a big release just a week before it hits the store shelves. Well this time, tonight that leak is of the much anticipated UGK self titled double album Underground Kingz. The official release is so close and so almost here that I can almost already hear the discs playing in my car stereo. I’ve been a UGK fan since I was just a young dumb 20 year old college kid who didnt know shit.

I’ve already been talking about these guys the SoundChild Crew out of Arkansas on my other sites and so it’s time to drop a little game here on the brand new TrillSouth site. Even better let’s kick it off with a free mixtape download so that you can have a little more to listen to in your ride this weekend.

You can see what I previously had to say about the Crew and give me your opinion, they’ve got a lot of support and things are starting to really take off. You can hear their music already on MTV’s Pimp My Ride and video shoots are starting to happen as well as hot nights as the clubs in the southern summer. Sweat dripping, boppers boppin and pimps poppin, it’s going down this summer and you guys are in early in the game.
