So it’s been more than a few minutes that fans have been waiting to get their hands on Lil’ Wayne’s Carter III album. It was pushed back from a 2007 release to sometime this year and the date is now official. It’s been set for May 13th and the question is are you buying it? We already know I’m not a Lil’ Wannabe fan, so I won’t even put my 2 cents on this one. Do you see major sales on this and if not what does that mean?
So that title is right but Im wonder why do we care about such a small arrest and small charges. Do we just wait for the chance to celebrate someone else having problems, even if they’re as small as these are. Read the story for yourself and tell me, why should we give a shit about something this small.
Rapper Juvenile was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi, after police found a small amount of marijuana in the rapper’s car yesterday (February 12).
According to the Associated Press, Juvenile, who was traveling from Atlanta to New Orleans, was stopped near Meridian because his vehicle had an expired tag.
Police seized a small amount of marijuana after searching the car and arrested Juvenile, born Terius Gray.
He charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and released shortly afterwards.
And so it happened again yesterday. Lil Wayne AKA Lil Wannabe was busted this time at a Border Patrol Inspection point and the DEA was called in to search his tour bus. Looks like the feds busted Lil Weezy with some marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy, a gun and some cash. It doesnt look good for your boy as he caught 3 felony cases on this one and still has a felony case pending in Idaho from last year. Who knows if any of it will ever stick, but it sure seems to be building up in a hurry. Check out the mugshot from earlier and dont worry your boy will be out soon as bail has been set at $10,000.
Here’s a little opinion piece I wrote up on SOHH Dirty today, let me know what you think.
So what happened to the Birdman and the massive push on his latest release. He was on MTV, BET, the radio, the internet, fake blooding with Lil Wannabe on all kinds of media spots. Where did the sales go. If you didn’t know, the Birdman debuted at #18 with 86,000 units moved. So did you buy the album? What’s your review? Is this success or failure? His video cost more than his album made in sales in the first week, uh oh. If you see the Birdman this time the tears on his face might be real.
What about the pic, is it love at first sight? Bottom line I can’t hate on anyone getting money and doing their thing. I just like to make the people think and talk, and these guys are so popular I expected a lot more.
So you know that Lil Wayne dropped about 77 tracks this year on mixtapes, so I guess he wins by pure volume. I cant imagine anyone else came close to that number. Even though I’d say at least half of what he did was some nursery rhyme non lyrical type of bullshit, that still leaves him with an album or two worth of tracks that were probably decent and Im not a fan so that says a lot.
They also recognized ‘Da Drought 3′ as the mixtape of the year. I can’t say I’ve ever heard it, I never downloaded to or owned a single Lil Wayne mixtape and I can imagine thats not going to change anytime soon. But no doubt Wayne has been all over the news, the scene, the tracks and everywhere else this year with plenty of good and bad. I’ll give a shout out to him for being serious about the music, even though I dont like nearly anything else about him.
After being denied permission to attend the funeral of Pimp C, C Murder has turned around and put out his own tribute track. It’s brand new and worth listening to. People won’t soon forget Pimp and his impact was greater than might even be known still to this point. C was definitely influenced by the man. So listen to the track titled ‘Take Your Time’ and remember that homie Pimp C for another minute or two and get out on your grind and do something with your life.
So last time I spoke up on this no one heard me. Last time when I said Wayne was claiming murder this murder that, murder captial and rocking fake tears everyone said I was on some bullshit. Well I sat back and waited on this one to see if anyone would say anything and it looks like people are starting to take notice a bit more.
This time in an Ozone interview he started rambling on trying to be super gangster again and this time comes off with some crazy ass bullshit lines about how he’ll murder your family and your child and all this bullshit. I waited and waited and it took a little while but I guess now people are catching on. Lil Wannabe did 77 tracks this year and it looks as though he now believes he’s invincible. With his wack ass nursery rhyme lyrics and fake blood swagger he’s really going over the edge. Listen to him say it for himself, you dont have to read it, just listen. And remember I waited on this shit just because you were all on some bullshit the last time I spoke up about some dumb shit he said similar to this.
It’s Tuesday and thats new release day as you already know. So how about a release from a southern OG that hasn’t dropped anything on the scene in a minute. Im talking about C Murder a brand new DVD release titled ‘The Movement.’ I’ve got the trailer here for you to view and find out a little of what its about and maybe it will let you know if you want to hit up your local today and grab your own copy. So check out the trailer and let us know what you think. It definitely looks interesting to me to say the least.
Yeah it’s more Birdman and I know maybe you’re tired of it. But on the flipside these Cash Money boys have been holding it down for a minute now. I’ll admit there have been a few tracks that I like and they always keep a hot beat for the club. Maybe I don’t buy their shit but I definitely don’t mind it, especially when the ladies move to it real well.
So Birdman is working on dropping that ‘5 Star Stunna’ album into stores in just a little under 2 weeks. On December 11th to be exact. So in combination with that he’s got these web videos that are going up on YouTube in the past day to tell you what being a ‘5 Star Stunna’ is about and how you can do it too. Some of them are a little over the top, mainly the first and second one, but the rest when he gets into the cars and the hustle arent all that bad. Anyway here’s the first video, but if you continue reading the story you can see all of them and then discuss and let the world know how you really feel about it. Read more
Yep the news is fresh on the wire from last night. Birdman was arrested along with several others in his group and will be facing charges soon. Here’s the story straight off the AP wire.
KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) — Rapper Bryan “Birdman” Williams was among 16 people charged with possession of marijuana Tuesday after the RV they were riding in was pulled over by police for making an improper lane change.
Kingsport Police Cpl. Tim Horne said he stopped the vehicle after seeing it force a tractor trailer into the emergency lane on Interstate 81. Horne said he could smell marijuana from inside the rented RV and located about a pound of marijuana in a trash can in the kitchenette after obtaining consent to search the vehicle.
Williams, 38, his wife Brittany, 18, and his brother, Ronald Williams, 43, were each charged with possession of more than 1/2 ounce of marijuana as were 13 others, several of whom are also affiliated with the rap industry and Cash Money Records, which was founded by Bryan and Ronald Williams.
Among those arrested were road manager Shahid Muhammad, 40, Cash Money Records promoter Casey Collins, 42, and music promoter Ovide Antoine, 32, of Miami, Fla.
All 16 remained jailed late Tuesday night. It was not known if any of them had an attorney.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is assisting in the investigation because an assault rifle, a handgun and a magazine for a .45-caliber handgun were found on the RV, Horne said. No weapons charges have been filed.
The group said they were traveling from New Orleans to New York for a BET network shoot, Horne said.
Hits featuring Birdman include “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy” and “Army Gunz.”
Wow Birdman’s wife is 18, thats one of the things I noticed. Another is that marijuana charges usually dont end up with you spending time in prison. But what priors does Birdman have if any? What about the weapons charges, who will they stick those to?
