Thats the truth, the TMI Boyz are still on that grind and its showing in their sales. They continue to increase the pace and have done over 30,000 in sales independent. Thats impressive with record sales down across the board and major artists doing poor sales even with BET and MTV video airplay. TMI Boyz continue to hit show after show and I cant help but think this is just the beginning of what you’re going to see from these guys. Other artists who are independent should take notice of the work ethic and potential that is out there without the support of a major label. With the internet and all the tools out there you can make it happen if you put your will to it.

I told you recently that the TMI Boyz were starting to make noise on Billboard with their album ‘Grindin For A Purpose’ and that progess has continued since I mentioned it. They’re steady moving still and have moved up to the 4 spot on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums. I know there are going to be haters, but these guys are doing this independent. So I want to send another shout out to the Boyz because they are TrillSouth approved and a shout out to Wendy Day. I know you better drop me an email when you read this and we can talk a little about your guys and the industry as well.

So if you havent gone out to grab your copy yet and you’re from the south, or you’re from Texas, then get out and support these boys because this is bigger than just buying an album. Support the independent grind and get these labels out of their monopoly of power on hip hop and get it back in your hands and our hands.

I thought I’d send a little shout out to the TMI Boyz when I found out that they cracked onto Billboard by doing it all independent in this southern region. I will tell you personally that these boys are out there grinding and trying to make it. They accomplished a video on BET while doing it Indie and sold almost 10,000 scans indie. Their album has only been out a short time now so this is just the beginning of the road. There’s plenty of hard work, sweat and shows to hit up and I know they’ll be at them. So if you haven’t already then get out and grab a copy and I’ll see what I can do to go ahead and get a review up in the near future.

Really whats good out there in Texas and the south? TMI Boyz dropped their album on May 20th and I’ve hardly heard a word about it or seen a review. I know that Wendy Day is doing the damn thing trying to get them out there but why isnt it hitting across the south? ‘Grindin For A Purpose’ is the name of the album that dropped last Tuesday and in case you dont know much about it I’ll drop the album cover on you and the tracklist so that you can see there definitely is something worth listening to on it.
