I know I wasnt expecting it but another UGK video has hit the internet this time without much of any indication of Pimp C other than the lyrics he’s spitting. The song is heavily censored so it might be headed to TV in some form, but considering the video content you wonder why they would censor the song but not the video so much. It’s also a remix featuring appearances from Slim Thug and Killa Kyleon. So have a look and then tell me how you feel.

UGK 4 Life

UGK 4 Life

Thats right the final UGK album dropped into stores starting at midnight last night and I grabbed my copy of iTunes as soon as it went on sale. Im laying out today and not going to post much. I will be posting a review of the album soon and be prepared if I dont love everything about it.

I bought it without thinking twice because UGK has been about something for a long time now. Thats something most of these industry lames can’t claim. I hope all of you buy the album and put it on repeat and just listen and break it down. Dont just nod your head and not listen to whats being said. Thats one thing about a UGK album you could break it down after listening multiple times and find layers of different things being said that speak the truth about life, music, or just a lot of things that we all go through.

So dont wait for the review from me get that album today and then post your thoughts in the comments. Tell me what tracks you like. Tell me how you feel about this being the last UGK album. Show some respect and love for those that do more than just use the word Trill, show it for those that live it. Anyway can say it but not everyone is living it. There were groups before UGK and there will be plenty after but this is the group that represented for Texas like no other. It’s UGK 4 Life!

If you hoes dont comment this shit and speak your mind and show a little respect for the hip hop legends then you are true to the TrillSouth movement. I didnt waste any time this shit just came out so view it, reply and view again and then replay several more times, I know I am. Go get that album tomorrow or get it off iTunes at midnight tonight like me!

Redman & Method Man ‘City Lights’ feat UGK

Method Man & Redman

Method Man & Redman

You know I almost didnt post this one up and I waited a few and listened to it a couple times and then decided I’d share it. It’s definitely got the UGK flavor on it more than I was even expecting for a Redman & Method Man track. It’s got that Pimp C sample with a Bun B verse and even Red and Meth are shouting out to the south. So definitely worth listening to and you might even want to download and add to some of the cd’s youre going to play in the ride this weekend.

Slim Thug

Slim Thug

So Slim Thug is just a few days away from dropping the ‘Boss Of All Bosses’ album into the stores and the tracks are leaking already. Its looking like this may be his best release yet and could push him into bigger and better things. This track leaked onto Ozone today and I grabbed it up to share with you because it’s a classic Texas type of track. It’s Slim Thug with UGK, thats quite a combination Im sure you already know.

UGK ‘The Pimp & Bun’ feat Ron Isley

UGK

UGK

I saw one other song drop onto the internet and I avoided putting it up on here. It was supposed to be a track from the upcoming final UGK album and I guess we’ll know for sure if it is or not when it drops officially. Then I see this track today from WordOfSouth and I started to wonder what I should do. I’ve been the biggest UGK fan that I can be and I still jam that old shit day after day and probably always will. But something about the new shit that Im hearing I just am not feeling it so far. Maybe its something that can grow on me with a little time and Im trying to have an open mind about it.

I guess when an album is put out after an artist has passed away it doesnt always sound as good as the stuff while they were alive. Im sure some of that is just a mental thing about how you feel about it and thinking about missing the person who passed. But a bigger part of it applies to how the tracks end up sounding choppy because the person who passed isnt in the studio to be involved in the production and often its stuff that was recorded back in the past that might not necessarily have ever been planned to be released. Other examples of that would be with Biggie and 2Pac. Both did a lot of work like Pimp and their work thats been released after their death just never had the same feel as the stuff that was put out while they were alive.

Im trying to be open minded about it and get into the new stuff but Im just not feeling it yet. Im likely going to buy the album because I supported all the music these two made through the past and they’re hip hop legends to me. But enough of that tell me how you feel after you check out the track.

Hezeleo ‘Stop Fuckin Wit Me’ [Video]

Author: DigiPimp | Filed under: Videos

Seems like my homie Hezeleo snuck a video out on me a day ago and I hadnt heard from him. But I was all over the net and found it and I’ve got it for you. You know Hezeleo is TrillSouth family just like the rest of the guys at UGK Records. Well he’s got a new video for the track ‘Stop Fuckin Wit Me’ that provides a little glimpse into the reality of the world in Port Arthur Texas if you didnt already know. Hezeleo has always had that slow delivery with a little attitude, he’ll catch fire soon enough if he stays on the grind like I know he does. Enjoy the video and some real true TrillSouth music.

Update: Just a couple hours after posting the video I got a phone call from Hezeleo to tell me that he had a new video to share with me. I let him know its already on the site and thats just more proof that he stays on his grind. The rest of you can learn from that.
